My Mission Statement

Mission Statement

'Personalized Tutoring Services by Cassie' is a tutoring service located in Southern Maryland owned and operated by Cassie MewBuorn who is from Leonardtown, MD. This service is available to people of all ages, ethnicities & different types of learners.
With my background knowledge of both Education and English, I hope to bring the love of learning to everyone who seeks it. It is important to note however, that not everyone learns the same way. This is why these services are unique to each individual learner.
Do you learn better by visual cues- such as drawing maps, or using graphic organizers? Or perhaps you are more of an audio learner or kinestetic learner who needs to get involved with their hands and be more tactile. By finding out what kind of learner you are, the better you can specify the best route for your personal understanding. This service after all, is all about having a personalized learning experience and having an open and comfortable environment in which to do so.

My specific mission statements for my learners are:

- Every learner deserves to find a way that is unique to them, to comprehend material, manipulate the material and adapt it to something meaningful to them or their lives.

-Learning is a journey. I am a tour-guide along the way. Each journey is an individual task and I am here to guide you through to help you discover who you are as a learner.
-This service is all about the student and their personal needs. Therefore, not all services are exactly alike. Some students may want to specifically hone in on English grammar, while others would like to brush up on their study skills. All students requests for their learning experience will be considered and treated as valid student in-put and will help guide us through their learning journey.

-All learners should note where there is future attention needed in their learning, but also to focus on their personal strengths, which every person undoubtedly has to help them learn what they need to know.

-Every student should be able to have their own mission statement, unique to their own situation, lifestyle & learning style. This personal mission statement will be formed and made at the first initial consultation meeting.

-I believe in honesty. I also believe in unconditional positive regard. I believe that every person is a capable and worthwhile student. I also believe that education and knowledge are a gift, regardless of age, Socio-economic status, gender or learning type.
